Yes. In the medical aesthetics world, vascular lesion and spider-vein is interchangeable and mean the same thing.

Extra body weight is one of the root causes for spider veins on your leg. They can place added pressure on leg veins.

As always it depends on the amount we are targeting. Each session takes an average of 30 to 45 minutes. Laser IPL treatments will very depending upon how many areas we will be tackling. But each IPL session will likely get shorter and shorter as there are less active outbreaks occurring. However, we will spend some time discussing your goals and the process during your first session. I typically perform a deep pore detox for our first session.

IPL technology is minimally invasive and primarily surface level. That said, there can be a little stinging sensation which the treatment. We’ve guest both report a little discomfort as well as report no discomfort at all. It will depend upon the individual. As part of the consultation, Dr. Degurse regularly does a test area for you to gauge effectiveness and discomfort level.

It depends on what your goals are. Most doctors will tell you it will likely take a handful of treatments to realize significant change. Some of our clients have been a one-and-done, but I would say on average it’s around 3 sessions for most IPL treatments. It really just depends on how aggressive, and how many lesions exist is there.
