Acne Treatment in
Colorado Springs

Pearl Skin & Body Rejuvenation Med Spa specializes in Acne Treatment in Colorado Springs. Acne can be some of the most frustrating, irritating, painful, and embarrassing blemishes around. We feel that we have one of the best acne-treatments in Colorado Springs. We typically will start with a deep pore detox that penetrates your face leading to greater exfoliation results. Before we begin, we will meet and discuss a strategy that meets your criteria and how aggressive you wish to be. And since acne is one of the leading causes of adolescent depression, low self-esteem, and anxiety, we happily treat teenagers upon receiving parental consent. Because we have teens ourselves, we’ve published an article about the mental harm scientifically attributed to teen acne.

Teenage acne and depression
Whether you're 40 or 14, acne can be mentally debilitating.

Oh my indeed. There are few things on this planet more annoying than inconveient pimples, breakouts, acne-scarring, and relentless embarassment. We treat them all here.

A complete takes an average of 30 to 45 minutes. However, we will spend some time discussing your goals and the process during your first session. I typically perform a deep pore detox for our first session.

It’s a technique where medical-grade skin products are applied to the skin that helps dig in and remove dirt, dead skin and debris. This is especially effective for black heads. Maximum Exfoliation.

It usually takes a few sessions to see significant change, but many people leave the first session with their skin feeling clean, smooth, and fantastic. At worst, after a first session we will have exfoliated your face so much you’ll likely have lost weight. 😉

If I leave this earth having accomplished just one good deed, it would be to spare as many teenagers the psychological anguish that stems from hormanal change resulting in acne breakouts. So yes, as long as we have our parental consent form signed before beginning, absolutely.

We have. In fact I’ve treated our children and that’s at least one less thing they can be mad at us fo now. Or one more piece of leverage we have over them. Depends on the perspective I guess 🙂

There are so many variables that go into acne formation including hormones, stress, diet, dry skin, and saying mean things to your mother.

As a physician, it is important for you to know that we will not just try to treat a short-term problem, but more importantly, identify through treatment and medical history, what factors are potentially the root of your acne so that you have a long-term fix that we are working toward.
It depends on what your goals are. Most doctors will tell you it will likely take a handful of treatments to realize significant change. Some of our clients have been a one-and-done, but I would say on average it’s around 3 sessions. It really just depends on how agressive, and how much damage is there.
