IPL Acne Therapy in
Colorado Springs

Pearl Skin & Body Rejuvenation Med Spa specializes in laser IPL Acne Therapy in Colorado Springs. Acne can be some of the most frustrating, irritating, painful, and embarrassing blemishes around. We feel that we have one of the best acne-therapies in Colorado Springs. We recommend starting with one of our amazing deep pore detox chemical peels that penetrates your face leading to greater exfoliation results. After which we heavily recommend a series of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments using our Lumenis Stellar M22 Acne Filter to target outbreaks and recent scarring. One session alone can make a significant difference, and after five, your friends may not recognize you.

Before we begin, we will meet and discuss a strategy that meets your criteria and how aggressive you wish to be. And since acne is one of the leading causes of adolescent depression, low self-esteem, and anxiety, we happily treat teenagers upon receiving parental consent. Because we have teens ourselves, we’ve published an article about the mental harm scientifically attributed to teen acne. If you wish to read more about our Laser, you can do so here.

Questions

Oh my indeed. There are few things on this planet more annoying than inconveient pimples, breakouts, acne-scarring, and relentless embarassment. We treat them all here.

A deep pore detox takes an average of 30 to 45 minutes. Laser IPL treatments will very depending upon how many areas we will be tackling. But each IPL session will likely get shorter and shorter as there are less active outbreaks occurring. However, we will spend some time discussing your goals and the process during your first session. I typically perform a deep pore detox for our first session.

It’s a technique where medical-grade skin products are applied to the skin that helps dig in and remove dirt, dead skin and debris. This is especially effective for black heads. Maximum Exfoliation.

It usually takes a few sessions to see significant change, but many people leave the first session with their skin feeling clean, smooth, and fantastic. At worst, after a first session we will have exfoliated your face so much you’ll likely have lost weight. 😉

If I leave this earth having accomplished just one good deed, it would be to spare as many teenagers the psychological anguish that stems from hormanal change resulting in acne breakouts. So yes, as long as we have our parental consent form signed before beginning, absolutely.

We have. In fact I’ve treated our children and that’s at least one less thing they can be mad at us fo now. Or one more piece of leverage we have over them. Depends on the perspective I guess 🙂

There are so many variables that go into acne formation including hormones, stress, diet, dry skin, and saying mean things to your mother.

As a physician, it is important for you to know that we will not just try to treat a short-term problem, but more importantly, identify through treatment and medical history, what factors are potentially the root of your acne so that you have a long-term fix that we are working toward.

It depends on what your goals are. Most doctors will tell you it will likely take a handful of treatments to realize significant change. Some of our clients have been a one-and-done, but I would say on average it’s around 5 sessions for both deep pore detox and acne facials And similar for the number of IPL treatments. It really just depends on how aggressive, and how much damage is there.
